NTC COVID Guidelines - 16th July 2020

We continue to work closely with Tennis Victoria to ensure we are meeting the recommended guidelines for Tennis Clubs in Victoria during the COVID pandemic. Please note the below instructions which we must adhere to:

 

 

  • Only singles allowed by default. Doubles can only be played by 4 members of the same household
  • No more than 10 players on all courts at any one time (coaches not included in the 10)
  • Booking a court is now compulsory. Please nominate number of players in Notes. https://ntcbookings.skedda.com/booking
  • When at the courts use the QR-code near the front gate to fill-in attendance form (ignore last field), or send text with times to Joe on 0409 585 319
  • For coaching the max no of people per session is 2 plus a coach
  • Please don't socialise around the club before or after playing.
  • All indoor facilities must close – this includes all indoor courts, clubhouses/rooms. However, toilets may remain open, if indoors
  • Community competition must be cancelled until further notice

Junior Awards Night

Next Awards night will be held on Saturday, March 24  starting at 5:30pm.

 

NTC Junior Awards Night to be held on the Saturday evening of the Grand Finals at the end of each season.


A night for parents and juniors get together to celebrate the past season and acknowledge the achievements of teams and individual players.

Club History and Location

History

The Nunawading Tennis club has a proud and successful history dating back to 17 August 1967. At that stage the club had no courts, and had to hire them, but in February 1968 the Nunawading council made land available at Nicoll Park.

The first 3 courts were opened for play in June 1969, with a further 2 courts added in 1970. The original clubhouse was of timber construction and was situated where the carpark is today.

In May 1973, a co-operative of club members was formed to raise funds for the permanent clubhouse.

The current clubhouse was officially opened on 29 May 1977 by Cr. R. Meagher; the culmination of 10 years of hard work by members of the club.

In March 1978, floodlights were installed on courts 4 & 5.

In July 1978, courts 6 & 7 were completed

In 1985 we became Nunawading Tennis Club Inc.

In March 1986, floodlights were installed on courts 6 & 7, then in Aug 1990 floodlights were installed on courts 2 & 3.

Today we are a thriving, family friendly club with over 260 members.  Many members play competition tennis including:
