Club History and LocationHistory The Nunawading Tennis club has a proud and successful history dating back to 17 August 1967. At that stage the club had no courts, and had to hire them, but in February 1968 the Nunawading council made land available at Nicoll Park. The first 3 courts were opened for play in June 1969, with a further 2 courts added in 1970. The original clubhouse was of timber construction and was situated where the carpark is today. The current clubhouse was officially opened on 29 May 1977 by Cr. R. Meagher; the culmination of 10 years of hard work by members of the club. In July 1978, courts 6 & 7 were completed and in 1985 we became Nunawading Tennis Club Inc. Today we are a thriving, family club with over 200 members, which has won many premiership flags at all levels, including a Grade 3 Pennant Premiership flag in 2007.
